Bio
Noa is a freelance data scientist who’s been playing with data for nearly a decade. Prior to freelancing, Noa explored the world of risk & security, working for companies such as Armis and PayPal, as well as consulting startups on fraud prevention. In her spare time she leads the Israeli community of Women in Data Science, is active in the local LGBTQIA+ tech community, and mentors junior data scientists.
She also leads the data science track of Open Knesset, a project to promote transparency in the Israeli parliament. Among her interests you’ll find biohacking, swing dancing and petting kittens.

Abstract
The field of Data Science is a fast-changing one: not a week goes by without some new and exciting development. As professionals in the field, we strive to stay up to date with the cool kids – while not losing focus on our own work. In this roundtable we’ll discuss that challenge, the different ways to approach it, and the varied resources we might use to that aim.
We will also share our own experiences and struggles, and talk about how we might achieve that holy grail: the perfect balance between exploring new topics and our day-to-day work.
